“Blog queen” Kaori Manabe appeared at Apple’s Ginza store in Tokyo as a judge in the Podcasting World 2006 competition. Manabe was joined by 3 other judges to sift through the 362 applications for the competition. She claims that in order to produce a great podcast there are three essentials: “Update the podcasts regularly, individuality is important, and have fun.” The award for first place went to Tama Tankentai, a podcast produced by the Tama expedition team at Chuo University.
