Cosmetic robo-skin

“Your skin is so soft…soft as a robot.” is a phrase people will be saying to their girlfriends in the year 2050 if cosmetics giant Kao Corporation and Keio University continue their work. The two have teamed up to create an artificial skin that looks and feels just like human skin.
The skin is a combination of silicone and urethane and will benefit the Kao Corporation through helping develop new products. Keio University are less interested in the cosmetic side of things, and are more excited about the possibility of using the skin for robotics.
