Sony is to launch an online “gaming fee framework” for the Playstation 3 next year. The framework will mean that customers will have to purchase individual items and features to use in games. The first game to use this system will be Sony’s own Gran Turismo HD, where the user will be able to purchase a car for up to 100 yen ($0.85/£0.45) and a course for up to 500 yen ($4.28/£2.25). Sony will then periodically add limited edition cars and new courses in order to make more money. Oh well!
