Lobster eating record
25th September, 2006 by manda
A new record has been set by Japan’s Takeru Kobayashi in the Goldenpalace.net World Lobster Eating Challenge. Kobayashi, the world’s greatest competitive eater, ate 41 lobster rolls during the 10-minute contest, and after just 3.5 minutes into the challenge he had eaten 22. Kobayashi has never been defeated in the United States since turning professional in 1998. Despite his slim frame, he has previously eaten 53.5 hot dogs with buns in an annual contest in Coney Island. Kobayashi returns to his home near Tokyo with a prize of $10,000 (1,165,183 yen/£5261).
