The good old folks at Tomy have created Rokuro Club - a beginner’s pottery set. The kit includes an “an electric-powered potter’s wheel, measuring 23 x 15 x 23cm; 1kg of special clay; special tools, including a bow, a pallet and a cutter string; and glaze for waterproofing and burnishing the pottery.” The provided 1kg of clay makes 3 teacups, or more likely, 1 teacup and 2 clay frisbees. You’ll need to use your home oven to dry and fire your new pottery too. All for 10,500 yen (£47/$90)
