Momofuku Ando

The inventor of Cup Noodles, Momofuku Ando, died of a heart attack on Friday at 96 years old. The instant ramen food was invented in Ando’s garden laboratory in Osaka, as he didn’t want to see people suffer from a poor diet after World War II. He created the world’s first instant noodles by 1958, and the Cup Noodles name was marketed by 1971 throughout the world. There is an instant noodles museum in Ikeda where visitors can learn about the whole creation process. Thank you Momofuko!
