The robot plays music, speaks simple words, moves with commands from a remote control, and can also take instructions from human voices. As the birthrate is declining in Japan, it is understood that the toy market for adults will keep expanding. The executive general manager of Takara-Tomy says, “With i-SOBOT, you can make your dreams come true - that is to control you own robot”. It is available from July for 29,800 yen ($245/£123).
