Nissin Food Products will launch refillable instant ramen cups and refill packets on March 26th, so time to ’scrub up’ on your washing skills. The refillable cups will be made from heat-resistant plastic, and will have their own lid. The packets to fill them with will be available in regular and seafood flavour. The main intention of the product is to prevent waste, a Nissin spokesperson said, “We hope it will become popular amongst those who tend to have strong consideration for the environment, like the elderly and women.” The refill set, consisting of a cup and 2 meals will cost 599 yen ($4.93/£2.50), while a singular refill is just 128 yen ($1.05/£0.53).
