Scalar Teleglass T4 video sunglasses
26th January, 2007 by stuart
Eyewear-obsessive, Scalar, has produced a pair of fancy video sunglasses that give the illusion of sitting in front of a 45-inch screen. Stick the connector into your iPod or any other portable video player and prepare to be amazed. A small device positioned near the nosepiece projects video to the eye through a pentagonal lens. This gives the impression that the screen is 2 metres away. The inbuilt headphones also give the impression that you’re hearing the film in THX megadolby surround sound. Well not really, I made that bit up. Ha ha I am funny. The sunglasses will be released in April for 100,000 yen ($827/£420). Scalar are aiming the product at commuters, as it allows them to pass time while still being able to keep track of what’s going on around them. The Teleglass T4 weighs 40 grams.
