AcrySof IQ cataract lens
7th May, 2007 by stuart
“More than half of all people over age 65 in Japan are estimated to have cataracts” reports Nikkei. Luckily, new intraocular lenses from Alcon Japan Ltd. are here to help. The AcrySof IQ lens is stuck inside the actual lens of a patient’s beady eyeball after cataract surgery. It has a yellow tint to filter out all those bad short blue-light wavelengths that can hurt the retina. Also, its “aspherical design prevents color and shape distortion in the visual field”. Nice work Alcon!

Hi, what you said is true. Now Alcon have come out with psudo accomadative IOL Acrysof ReSTOR which will offer spectacle freedom after the cataract surgery. This lens is also an aspheric bluefilter one. This lens offeres a better near, intermediate and far vision without the help of a spectacle after surgery. Kudooos Alcon
