The electronics eggheads at Rohm have improved their already impressive line of PicoLEDs by adding a new low-power series to their lineup. The new PicoLED-eco LEDs generate light twice as bright as previous diodes, on just a current of 1 milliampere. The company will begin manufacturing the LEDs in June in four colours. It is expected that the LEDs will be ideal for the lighting in cell phone keypads.
