NSJ GPS Robot Locator
25th June, 2007 by stuart
Network Security Japan has come up with the ultimate security solution for those navigating the dark streets of Osaka alone at night. By carrying a ‘Robot Locator’, those in trouble can simply press a button to send a signal to the nearest vending machine relay device. This in turn sends a distress signal to NSJ’s headquarters, where they check the GPS co-ordinates of the pressed Robot Locator.

The patrolling security officer in the relevant area is alerted immediately, where they then track down the location of the incident, even if the person who pressed the button in the first place is on the move.

The vending machines that contain relay devices also have an emergency button for those who don’t carry a Robot Locator, which can be pressed whenever help is needed.
